Cinesite delivered around two hundred shots for the movie, starting from environments to digital make-up sweetening, crowds of laptop generated zombies, decapitations and limb removal. Work was shared across Cinesite’s London and Montréal groups.
In a dramatic flashback sequence wherever Darcy recounts his time within the army fighting zombies to shield the population, we have a tendency to see a night-time apocalyptic vision of London. The visual effects team engineered a 3D section of the town, as well as St Paul’s and acceptable amount design ablaze. The foreground was shot at midnight against blue screen at Shepperton Studio’s backlot. extra zombies were value-added as animated CG figures.
