YouTube turns HD into 3D
James Cameron, step aside. Your YouTube video is taking on a new dimension -- 3D. Yes, you, too, can make either "Avatar" or "Titanic 3D," but shorter. In other words, whether you're shooting in 3D or in 2D (like the rest of us), your videos can become a beautiful blur of red and blue.

B-town's awesome twosome, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, were supposed to come together for the animated 3-D version of the 1994 ribtickler 'Andaz Apna Apna'. The Rajkumar Santoshi directed movie, which also starredKarisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, has achieved a cult status over the years. However, it seems the ambitious 3-D project may not see the light of the day.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas that has made a permanent place for itself in the annals of Bollywood history will be converted to 3-D.Sunil Lulla, who is part of the film corporation that is working on the 3-D version, says, "The film completes a decade this year. And to commemorate its 10th year, we will release a 3-D version of this Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay classic.''

Sarvan is a college student making a short-film. So, what's new? Students making short films has become a trend of sorts. But Sarvan is directing what he claims is India's first non-animated 3D short film, Naran. Sarvan, doing his third-year Electronics and Communications Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, has shot the film.

Academy award-winning animated feature film Finding Nemo is returning to the big screen in a thrilling 3D avatar, set to release in India Aug 24, three weeks before its US release. An underwater adventure, with memorable characters, humour and emotion, Finding Nemo follows the momentous journey of an overly protective clownfish named Marlin  and his son Nemo, who become separated in the Great Barrier Reef.

After the huge success of “Raaz 3” the 3D wave, which had fizzled out with “Joker” and “Krrish 3” dropping plans to convert to 3D, is back. Producers are once again planning to make their films in this format, and due to this Prasad Lab is flooded with 3D offers. Shah Rukh Khan and director-turned-actor Farah Khan now getting ready to celebrate 10 years of the choreographer's directorial debut Main Hoon Na (2004). Both are planning to convert the film into 3D. "Farah and Shah Rukh have discussed the idea of converting the film and releasing it in 2014,".

The quirky spin on its famous characters isn’t the most interesting aspect of Rise of the Guardians.  The most interesting part of the film is how it upholds fame as the biggest power in the world.  It’s an odd subtext for almost any movie, and especially a family film.  On the surface.

Disney UTV signs 2 films deal with Remo D’Souza
Disney UTV has signed horeographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza for two films deal. One of the films is likely to be the sequel of ABCD - Any Body Can Dance, which is directed by Remo and has released worldwide. “ABCD showcases his (Remo's) ability to thrill and entertain his audience while at the same time to handle emotion and drama with sensitivity and depth.
The comic called Gabbar is expected to hit the stands this month across all major bookstores in India through Graphic's Indian publishing partner, Westland Tata. In addition to the book, a motion comic episodic series of the same story will be released in English and Hindi exclusively across mobile devices.

Dredd 3D is a futuristic British thriller closely based on the 2000 AD comic strip Judge Dredd. Its plotline and setting is reminiscent of the original Robocop movies with a crime ridden city known as Mega City One, a drug (SLO-MO) offering a mind altering escape to the city's 800 million inhabitants and a law-enforcing officer to battle the drug barons.
